Senior Software Engineer

Active Logic is actively seeking senior-level Software Engineers with real-world experience developing enterprise-grade web & mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong team skills, and must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • // Build, test, and maintain Laravel web applications across a plethora of industries
  • // Collaborate with internal development team to plan & execute seamless user journeys
  • // Generate effective & scalable code capable of withstanding enterprise-level usage
  • // Adhere to the best practice coding standards set by Active Logic and/or partnering clientele
  • // Design and develop innovative web applications that draw the user’s attention
  • // Write reusable, effective, and scalable JavaScript code
  • // Build modular and reusable components and libraries
  • // Translate the client’s technical specifications into code
  • // Test, update, and optimize the application for performance and security
  • // Ensure consistency & validity of the code used throughout entire applications
  • // Implement front-end components with a progressive Vue.js framework

Qualifications:

  • // MUST RESIDE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WITHOUT THE NEED OF A WORK VISA
  • // College Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • // Experience in current development frameworks being used within the industry (Included but not limited to: Laravel, Vue.js, Perl, .NET, C#, PHP, Flutter, etc.)
  • // Strong knowledge of software methodologies, tools, and processes
  • // Minimum of 3 years of professional development experience
  • // Advanced knowledge of database architecture & design
  • // Clear and concise written & verbal communication skills (both with internal teams & partnering clients)
  • // Able to work in Central Standard Time from the hours of 9am to 5pm

Nice To Have:

  • // Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
  • // Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
  • // Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts

Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be at the helm of our development team, steering the design, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions that meet and exceed our client's expectations. You will play a crucial role in mentoring team members, optimizing our development processes, and ensuring the technical excellence of our products.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, possess good team skills, and must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. This position will play a critical role in defining QA standards and releasing quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • // Manual execution of test cases
  • // Development of automated tests that execute these test cases
  • // Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • // Working with project leads and developers at all stages to promote quality
  • // Ensure acceptable test coverage across all assigned projects and systems
  • // Identify and document application defects, writing clear steps to reproduce
  • // Verifying the load, scalability, and performance requirements have been met
  • // Working with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis
  • // Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • // Soft Skills must be outstanding considering we are in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • // Willing to step up and ask questions as a team player

Account Manager Specialist

Active Logic, a custom software development company located in Kansas City, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our team. This role will support the business development and sales processes for both Active Logic and our partner company, Clearfix Labs. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and personable professional with a good understanding of technology, web development, and marketing. Training will be provided on site with our current team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • // Take detailed notes and track data within CRM for all sales calls and meetings
  • // Screen incoming requests and schedule discovery calls.
  • // Answer sales phone and email inquiries, potentially including after-hours within reason
  • // Follow up on all leads and requests in a timely manner
  • // Represent Active Logic at networking events, meetup groups, and other relevant gatherings
  • // Assist in the development of proposals and presentations
  • // Build and maintain strong relationships with leads and clients
